mtPaint is a free, open source graphic editing program which uses the GTK+ toolkit. It is geared towards creating indexed palette images and pixel art. It is aimed to be simple and easy to use. It was originally developed by Mark Tyler, but is now maintained by Dmitry Groshev. It is released under the terms of the GNU General Public License.
