Mt. Olive Correctional Complex

Mt. Olive Correctional Complex (MOCC) is the male maximum security prison for the state of West Virginia, USA. Located in Fayette County, it has a capacity of 980. Its security level is equal to the federal level 5.

Opened in 1995, MOCC was built under court order to replace the Moundsville, West Virginia state prison, which dated from 1866. The prison consists of 80 acres (320,000 m²) in a very rural location in Fayette County, West Virginia.

The various cell block pods at the prison are named after guards killed in several riots at Moundsville over the years. MOCC has its own post office, power plant, fuel depot, water supply, central warehouse, maintenance garage, gymnasium, chapel, library, classrooms, food service and laundry.
