Mt. Chimney

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mt. Chimney is a landmark in the Hoenn region in the fictional world of Pokémon. It is featured in both the games and the show. It was the location for the episode "Fight For the Meteorite." Mt. Chimney can only be accessed in the games after taking a gondola to the top.

In Pokémon Ruby, Team Magma steals a meteorite and puts it in a machine to erupt the volcano. Alternatively in Pokémon Sapphire, Team Aqua is the group in possession of the stolen meteorite, and wants to turn the volcano into a crater lake.

In Pokémon Emerald Team Magma steals a meteorite and puts it in a machine to erupt the volcano and awaken Groudon, who lives inside the volcanic lava.

On MT. Chimney, there is an old woman that sells lava cookies to trainers, which heal pokemon. A rough trail known as "Jagged Pass" leads southward to Lavaridge Town. The trail is home to various Pokémon such as Spoink.
