[edit] Capitalization conventions

I noticed that you added the heading "See Also" to The Fifty Worst Films of All Time. Per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (capitalization), I've changed this to "See also", using sentence case — that is, only the first word and proper nouns are capitalized. Please consider this in your future edits, and thank you for your cooperation. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 11:32, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the warning! I hadn't actually noticed that section headings were using sentence case instead of title case. I might otherwise have gone on like this for quite some time. -- MSchmahl 21:13, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Legality of warrantless surveillance--proposed merger into NSA warrantless surveillance

You may want to talk to Metarhyme. He's told me he's concerned with the length of the NSA article and wants a subarticle, but one without the NPOV problems. I noticed there's no discussion for the legality page, except one NPOV comment about NPOV. I'll copy this to Metarhyme also.--Beth Wellington 23:07, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Actually, on second thought, splitting out all the discussion on legality into Legality of warrantless surveillance might be a good starting point on trimming NSA warrantless surveillance controversy. -- MSchmahl 23:18, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
Confining the subject matter is also a concern. I prefer Legality of NSA warrantless surveillance. I'm waiting for someone at Talk:NSA warrantless surveillance controversy#My two cents to say it's a good idea. Then merge or AfD the earlier POV fork. Whaddya think? [edit] Sandbox

Hey, thank you so much for adding those usage guides. I wish stuff was better documented in the first place!!
I am trying to implement this on Commons (see commons:User:Pfctdayelise/test), but you'll need to install the functions on your commons css & js, since they're not installed sitewide there). I can't get {{hidden}} to work when the second argument, the hidden thing, is a template. I want to set it up for Featured pictures candidates, so each nomination has its own template. Any ideas? Thanks, pfctdayelise (translate?) 23:31, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

WikiThanks

I'm just dropping by to say thanks for your work on Lothal. --Cyde Weys 17:35, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jim Lewis (astrologer)

When first I saw that you'd dePRODded the article, I thought I'd send it to AfD; I'd lumped Lewis in with Andrew Homer, for the article on whom I voted "delete" and who is, I think, the primary author (as an anon) for the Lewis article. I'm convinced, though, after having Googled astrocartography and viewing your revisions to the page, that Lewis is (probably) notable, and so I'm content to leave the article as it is. I write, primarily, then, to thank you for having removed my under-informed PROD (to use the Wodehousian construction) and to commend you for having cleaned up an article pertaining to a subject about whom, as you noted, verifiable sources are difficult to find. Joe 22:12, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for agreeing with me. My first knee-jerk response was also to let the article be deleted, having arrived there via Special:Whatlinkshere/Andrew Homer, but decided a little research wouldn't hurt. Strangely enough, Andrew Homer's connection to Jim Lewis is unverifiable, as this Google Search shows. — MSchmahl 22:24, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Trump Timepieces

I see that you recently just added an advertisement prod to my Trump Timepieces article. I was wondering if it was merged with Donald J. Trump Signature Collection that it wouldn't be deleted. Of course, this article has yet to be created. Thanks. M.T. | Mr. Turcotte 01:15, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

It would probably be fine as part of an article called Donald J. Trump Signature Collection, or even as part of Donald Trump. The article now looks like an advertisement/endorsement by Wikipedia. See WP:V and WP:NPOVMSchmahl 01:20, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Okay. Thanks so much. M.T. | Mr. Turcotte 01:23, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have created the Donald J. Trump Signature Collection if you want to check it out. M.T. | Mr. Turcotte 01:40, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Staring to look a little better. I would suggest removing "Trump Timepieces are a work of art in themselves and are designed and built with the highest quality materials." This implies that it is Wikipedia's official opinion, when Wikipedia is not supposed to have an opinion. If you can find a source for this statement, attribute it to that source. For example, "Vidal Sassoon considers Trump Timepieces a work of art in themselves." — MSchmahl 01:58, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing that out. I fixed it. M.T. | Mr. Turcotte 01:31, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
