Ms. Melodie (born in Ramona Parker in Brooklyn, New York) is a rap artist and actress. She was married to rapper KRS-One. In 1988 while recording her debut album, she appeared in the film I'm Gonna Git You Sucka starting Keenen Ivory Wayans. Her debut album Diva was released in 1989 on the Jive Records label, the single "Wake Up, Wake Up" written by Ms. Melodie reached the top twenty of the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart.

A music video for the single "Live on Stage" was a hit on video stations.
