Mrs. Jewls

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mrs. Jewls is a fictional character in Louis Sachar's Sideways Stories From Wayside School series. She is the teacher on the 30th story most of the time.

[edit] Personality

Mrs. Jewls is very nice, unlike the previous Wayside School teacher, Mrs. Gorf. She accidentally becomes mean in the Wayside School is Falling Down chapter, "The Mean Mrs. Jewls". She is very funny, and when she first comes into the class, she thinks that the children are monkeys, because they are "too cute to be children". She doesn't know if monkeys know they are monkeys.

[edit] Trivia

  • In the last chapter of Wayside School Gets a Little Stranger, Mrs. Jewls and her husband had a baby named Mavis Jewls.
  • In Sideways Arithemitic From Wayside School, in a true-or-false question, it says that she is allergic to strawberries. In another question it says that her first name is Shirley, but in the answers, it says that the answer to the question is false.
