"Mr. Moustache" is a song by the grunge band, Nirvana. It is the tenth song on their 1989 album Bleach. The song was written by Kurt Cobain (credited as Kurdt Kobain).
"Mr. Moustache" is one of the first Alternative rock songs to have a title that is not found in the song's lyrics, which set a trend for the genre. The title refers to macho-type men who have moustaches. The song also refers to self-righteous vegetarians who were common in Olympia, Washington at the time.
Kurt wrote a short one-page comic called Mr. Moustache, which had an angry father berating his not yet born child (screaming at his wife's pregnant midsection) telling him how he will grow up to hate fags and worship the flag. The baby then kicks out of the mother's abdominal cavity and then into the father's skull.
A live reheral of this song also appears on the 2004 box set With the Lights Out.
