MPEG LA

MPEG LA, LLC, is a firm which licenses patent pools required for use of the MPEG-2, MPEG-4, IEEE 1394, DVB-T, and AVC/H.264 standards. The firm is also working towards pooled licensing of VC-1, ATSC, DVB-H, and Blu-Ray intellectual property.

MPEG LA (Licensing Authority) is based in Denver, Colorado.
