TUV-STAR


TÜV-STAR is a new and unique evaluation and rating service developed by the TÜV Rheinland Group. TÜV-STAR* brings a new perspective and solution to evaluate corporate sustainability and social performance.

We drew inspiration from new market requirements resulting from increasing globalization and social awareness. TÜV-STAR is based on our knowledge, our services, the UN Global Compact, the OECD-Guidelines, GRI, SA 8000, and other management systems and product certification standards.

TÜV-STAR is a service with the objective to evaluate and rate an organization’s performance in 9 Dimensions (see figure 1) and summarizes this into an overall classification within the five-star rating system. Like restaurants and hotels, a “five-star-organization” stands out by a special grade of excellence.

Upon request from the organization, we evaluate a 10th Dimension, Customer Specific Requirements, e.g. evaluation of delivery reliability or delivery quality of suppliers.
