The Mowag Eagle is a Swiss modification of the American HMMWV military motor vehicle design. It is able to withstand 7.62mm bullets from 30m and armor piercing bullets from 100m.[1] Atop the MOWAG is the remote weapons station, in which the observation equipment and an MG 51/71 are located.[2] The vehicle has air-conditioning and an intercom to the crew

The Eagle is operated by a crew of normally four: the driver, the commander, the communications operator and the gunner/observer (turret or back right). It can also be operated by three or even two given that the driver and the communications operator have the same training, and alternate posts, and that the gunner is most often also skilled with the radio equipment.

Eagles operate in teams of five vehicles plus support. Teams split up into patrols, and two patrols with each two vehicles move out and a fifth vehicle remains as the base of operations.
