Moving Picture Institute

The Moving Picture Institute is a non-profit organization and production company based in Tribeca, New York, and West Hollywood, California. It was founded by writer/producer/human rights advocate Thor Halvorssen in 2005. MPI identifies and nurtures promising filmmakers who are committed to protecting and sustaining a free society, and supports their work through grants, travel scholarships, awards, internships, training workshops, and networking opportunities.
