Movies For The Blind is a classic 2002 underground album by Cage, on Eastern Conference Records. The style is difficult to categorise but could be broadly described as acid rap. The album was well received by the Detroit underground scene.
Cage had been producing tracks for some years before the release of this album, but as his first LP it collects a bit of his older material. Specifically, two tracks (Agent Orange and Suicidal Failure) are older Cage singles, while one other track (A Crowd Killer) is taken from one of the Eastern Conference All-Stars compilations. It also features a large number of collaborations, especially with other members of the Weathermen, Cage's crew. Production was overseen by Mighty Mi of High and Mighty, with contributions from El-P and J-Zone.
Some lyrics address comments made by Eminem on his Slim Shady LP. On that album, Eminem implied that Cage was homosexual. On Pussy, Money and War, Cage says that he "used to pistol whip 'til Shady made it look pussy". Nevertheless the album is surprisingly light on such material, considering the long-running feud between the two rappers.
