Mountains of Moria

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Mountains of Moria are three mountains -- Celebdil, Caradhras and Fanuidhol -- in J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional world of Middle-earth. They form part of the Misty Mountains, beneath which Khazad-dûm was delved by the Dwarves. The main body of their city, which was later called Moria, seems to have been beneath Celebdil, which they called Zirakzigil, and which was crowned by Durin's Tower.
