Mount Southington Ski Area is Located in Plantsville, Connecticut on Mount Vernon Road.
[edit] Mountain Information
The mountain enjoys a skiing season from December to March. The runs are open 9am-10pm (Sat-Sun) and 10am-10pm (Mon-Fri).
There are fourteen trails, six Green Circle, four Blue Square and four Black Diamond. Mount Southington also has eight lifts serving the mountain; two double-chairs (1-summit 1-beginner hill), 1 triple-chair (summit), 2 Tbars (Mid-Mountain), 2 Rope Tows (Beginner Area) and 1 Magic Carpet (Beginner Area).

Mount Southington formally had a J-Bar in the Beginner area until 2001 when it was replaced by a Double Chair. Also Mount Southington once had two Tbars on the Stardust trail which were removed back in the late 1980's or early 1990's.
