Mount Pleasant GO Station is an under-construction GO Transit railway station on the Georgetown line. It is located at Bovaird Drive and Creditview Road at Mount Pleasant, a growing Brampton community.
[edit] History
The new station will not be complete until March 2006, but it opened for service on February 7, 2005, because GO Transit wanted to open the station as soon as possible due to the severe parking crunch at Brampton GO Station and a sprawling community near the new station.
When its elevators have been installed, Mount Pleasant will, like all new GO stations, be wheelchair-accessible with a mini-platform.
The station has a Ticket Vending Machine (TVM), and tickets are being sold from a portable trailer until the station building is complete. The parking lot with has 600 spaces, and could be expanded to about 2000 in the future. The station will have a nine-bay bus loop serving both GO buses and Brampton Transit.
