Mount Lechner

Mount Lechner (83°14′S 50°55′W) is a prominent mountain, 2,030 m, surmounting the southwest end of Saratoga Table in the Forrestal Range, Pensacola Mountains. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1956-66. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Major Ralph C. Lechner, USA, airlift coordinator on the staff of the Commander, U.S. Naval Support Force, Antarctica, 1964-66.
