Mount Edward

Mount Edward (75°12′S 69°33′W) is a prominent rock mountain (1,635 m) located centrally along the south margin of the Sweeney Mountains, in eastern Ellsworth Land. It was discovered by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE), 1947-48, under Ronne, who named this summit for Cdr. Edward C. Sweeney, USNR, a contributor to the expedition.
