Moulay Idriss

Moulay Idriss (Arabic: مولاي إدريس) is a town in northern Morocco. It is located at around 34°2′60″N, 5°31′0″W. It is named after a descendant of Muhammad, Moulay Idriss, who founded Fez and also this city. His tomb, located in the town, is a major pilgrimage site. The ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis are located nearby. The nearest big city is Meknes.
