Motosu, Gifu

Motosu (本巣市, -shi) is a city in Gifu Prefecture, Japan.
As of July 1, 2004, the city has an estimated population of 34,925 and a density of 93 persons per km². The total area is 374.57 km².

- The city was established on February 1, 2004 by the merger of Itonuki, Motosu, Neo, and Shinsei from Motosu District.
The city's name came from Motosu District.
