Motijheel

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Motijheel (Bangla: মতিঝিল) is the principal commercial district of Dhaka city, capital of Bangladesh. It is situated at the heart of the city (the General Post Office is considered the zero point of Dhaka). Motijheel is the headquarter of Bangladesh Bank, the state-owned banks like Sonali Bank, Rupali Bank, the Dhaka Stock Exchange and many other important Government and private organisations. Motijheel is also close to the Kamalapur Railway Station, the main railway station of Dhaka.

There are two other Motijheels at Kolkata, one at Dumdum, and another at Entally.
