Mothercare

Mothercare is a British retailer which specialises in products for expectant mothers and in general merchandise for children up to 8 years old. It operates on the high street and out of town, and has over 200 shops in the UK. It also has an international franchise business, which as of its March 2005 year end had 220 stores, primarily in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. Its turnover for the year ending 26 March 2005 was £457.2 million. It bought Childrens world from Boots in 1996, and rebranded all of their superstores Mothercare World stores.
