Mother's Day is a well-known episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog for introducing Eustace's mother, a popular Courage character. It is the ninth episode of season one.
[edit] Plot
It's Mother's Day, and Muriel insists that Eustace goes to see his mother. Eustace doesn't want to go alone, and Muriel refuses to see her, so Eustace takes Courage instead. Eustace is very nervous about seeing his mother, and is determined to gain her respect. His wishes go unfulfilled though; Ma is cruel to Eustace and very kind to Courage, getting Eustace jealous and making him feel bad. Eustace cracks at the end, enraged at his mother's lack of feeling for him. He challenges her to an arm-wrestling match. They arm-wrestle, but Eustace is losing. He tells Courage to do something. Courage knows that Ma is allergic to flowers and puts them in front of her face. She sneezes and her hair falls off; it is revealed that she has no hair and it is in fact a wig. It is revealed that she wore a wig because she felt that without it Eustace could never love her. Eustace kindly tells her that she looks good to him no matter what. The two make up and when they get back, Eustace tells Muriel that they had a great time.
