This is a list of all articles in the Main namespace which had been visited at least 5000 times as of June 23 2005, since the previous software upgrade. A more complete list is available at User:Dcoetzee/List of Wikipedia articles with at least 1000 hits.

This page exists to track the status of the "most visible" pages, with the goal of making them all featured articles or lists.

The steps in this process are (roughly) the following:

If a page will never be awarded featured status because the topic does not meet the criteria, that should be noted.
