[edit] Proposed article move

This article should be moved to MOS Technology 6560 for greater orthogonality with other MOS Technology integrated circuit articles, such as MOS Technology 6522 and MOS Technology 6532. Note that these are named by their numeric designations and not their titles (VIA and RIOT, respectively). This should be made consistent. Crotalus horridus 19:30, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

I don't think such consistency is necessary or desirable. The name should be the one most commonly used. In this case, VIC is certainly better known than 6560. In the case of the 6522/VIA, it's a toss up - either way is good. Mirror Vax 23:04, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
And on the top of that, there are multiple VIC variations with different part numbers. Mirror Vax 23:06, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
OK, then maybe we should do it the other way - change MOS Technology 6522 to MOS Technology VIA, 6532 to RIOT, 8563 to VDC, and so forth. Crotalus horridus 23:47, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
