Portulaca grandiflora, otherwise known as the Moss Rose or the Moss-rose Purslane, are small but fast-growing flowering plants in the family Portulacaceae.

Portulaca are native to South America, but are widely grown in temperate climates as well as an annual bedding or container plant. Flowers are showy, with colors ranging from red, orange, pink, white, and yellow. "introduced to European gardens 300 years ago...quickly gained popularity for its medicinal properties, which included relieving teeth grinding, muscle spasms, and soothing gunpowder burns." These plants require ample sunlight and well-drained soils.
