Mosque of Nain
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Masjed e Jame' Naeen, or The congregation mosque of Naeen is one of Iran's oldest mosques.
It is located in Nain, Iran. It is dated to the 9th century. The interiors however are Seljuki in brick craftsmenship, and therefore allude to the 11th century.
Like the The Tarikhaneh of Damghan and the Congregation (Jame) mosque of Isfahan, it is "Khorasani" in its architectural style (sabk).
The mosque is still in use, although protected by Iran's Cultural Heritage Organization.
