"20 to 1: Most Embarrassing Moments" was the first episode of the television special 20 to 1, one of the television specials to mark 50 years of television in Australia. The show first aired on the Nine Network on October 13, 2005 and was repeated on June 25, 2006 with Bert Newton replacing appearances and voiceover originally performed by Bud Tingwell.

This episode counted down from 20 to 1 the "most embarrassing moments ever shown on Australian television" (incomplete):

  1. Jennifer Hawkins has a skirt fall down on her at a Westfield Shopping Centre fashion parade in Sydney in 2004.
  2. Australian Game show slip-ups, quite literally, with John Burgess slipping on a polished floor on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune in 1989. / A contestant named Mary on The Price Is Right in 1992 hyperventilating, shaking and becoming over-excited. / Tony Barber on Sale of the Century being hit on the head by a descending safe containing the cash jackpot in 1984.
  3. Communication "breakdowns": George Negus in Darwin interviewing a kidney recipient and his donor between in Perth in 1988. The problem was that the recipient's wife was sitting in the chair that the donor was meant to be sitting in - and nobody did anything about it! / Rose Porteous pretending she can't hear Mike Munro on A Current Affair in 2002 in an attempt to cover up a charity donation scandal.

  8. Lochie Daddo bitten by a crab on Getaway in 1995 and Ben Dark bitten by a crab on Getaway in 2001
  9. On one episode of the talent quest television program Pot Luck on Network Ten in 1987, Todd Rixon danced to "Baby I'm a Star" by Prince. About halfway through his routine he pulled his hamstring.
