Morton Thompson

Morton Thompson (c. 1908 – July 7, 1953) was an American writer of newspaper journalism, novels and film screenplays. Amongst his works were a collection of short stories called Joe, the Wounded Tennis Player and the novel Not as a Stranger, which was turned into a film directed by Stanley Kramer. Another famous nobel is and The Cry and the Covenant, telling the story of the mothers' saviour Ignac Semmelweiss. He was also the inventor of the Thompson Turkey. He was a friend of the writer Robert Benchley.
