Mortifera

Mortifera is the side project of Noctu from the French black metal band Celestia and Diabolus of the American bands Vrolok and the long-running Black Funeral. Formed sometime in 2001 in the French city of Nimes, the band has released an EP, a full-length and a split album. Their style is similar to that of Celestia, and their full-length release includes a cover of a Celestia song. Despite all the similarities, there are key differences. Mortifera has more of a straightforward sound, with no synth or over-dramatic themes. They keep it simple, occasionally using acoustic guitar. Another release may be in the works, but information on this is difficult to find.
