From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Morris Pert (born 1947 in Arbroath, Scotland) is a Scottish musical composer, drummer and percussionist who has played as a session musician with many big name artists, including Paul McCartney, Andrew Lloyd-Webber, John Williams, Kate Bush, Mike Oldfield, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and the jazz-rock band Brand X, as well as having his own extensive solo career.

He claims to be "inspired by the symbolism and the mystery surrounding the culture of the ancient inhabitants of Scotland known as the Picts and by his interest in the philosophical implications of the sciences of astronomy, cosmology and astrophysics", and has recently been working with electronic music.
