Morohashi Tetsuji

Morohashi Tetsuji (諸橋轍次? June 4, 1883—December 8, 1982) was an important figure in the world of Japanese studies and Sinology. He is best known as Chief Editor of the Dai Kan-Wa jiten, the most comprehensive dictionary of Kanji. The Dr. Morohashi Tetsuji Museum (諸橋轍次記念館) is located in his hometown, the village of Shitada, Niigata, called the Kangaku no sato (漢学の里 "Home of Chinese Studies").[1]
