Morningside is a suburb in the south-east of Brisbane, Australia, surrounded by Cannon Hill, Norman Park and Colmslie. Morningside's postal code is 4170. There is one primary school, Morningside State School, located on Pashen St with Balmoral State High School located on Thynne Rd and Lytton Road. Wynnum Road is the major road that goes through Morningside, with retail stores found along it. There is also a shopping centre named "Morningside Central" located on Wynnum Road and Junction Road. Morningside railway station provides regular services to the CBD and beyond.
Until 13 April 1969 electric trams skirted the western edge of the suburb, operating along Wynnum Road and Riding Road.
