Morley High School

Morley High School is located on Fountain Street in Morley, a town situated 5 miles south-west of Leeds, West Yorkshire with a population of about 50,000. The school is an 11-18 co-educational comprehensive school which serves the town and its surrounding area. It has approximately 1400 students on roll. The head teacher is John Townsley.

The school was first established as a grammar school in 1907, becoming a mixed comprehensive in 1975.

In July 2001 the Arts Council awarded the school the Artsmark at the Silver level. The school was one of only three in Leeds and 13 in Yorkshire to be so recognised.[1] Morley High School is a Specialist Technology College. In their 2006 inspection, Ofsted found that the school was "satisfactory and improving".[2]
