[edit] The Last Blade

Moriya Minakata was a young swordsman in training under a legendary teacher named Gaisei. Under his tuteluge, he, Kaede and Yuki became great swordsmen. For many years, they lived happily while learning the concept of Bushido.

On the year Moriya turned 17, he discovered his master dead, and the alleged killer nowhere to be found. Now with Kaede seeking to slay him, under the belief he slew Gaisei, he sets out on the run. Not only does he wish to avoid this confrontation, but he also seeks the man named Shinnosuke Kagami, who killed his master, and therefore clear his name.

However, after over five years of searching, Moriya has yet to find Kagami, who is defeated by Kaede instead.

[edit] The Last Blade 2

After failing to take revenge upon Kagami, Moriya recluses himself to the wilderness to improve his skills and techniques. During this timeframe, he finds himself with a urge to "return" to the portal known as "Hell's Gate". Stopping his training, he travels in order to seek the truth.

[edit] Trivia

  • He is basically a direct lift of Rurouni Kenshin's Hiko Seijuro, with a different color scheme. His teleportation move is animated in a virtually identical fashion to some maneuvers that Kenshin used later in the series, and his quick-draw slash, the Ittou Oboro (Single-Blade Mist) has him in an identical ready stance as Kenshin's Battoujutsu techniques (aside mentioning his hairstyle is similar to Kenshin's).
