Indian Eyed Turtle Morenia petersi is a species of turtle found in NE India (as far west as Bihar), Bangladesh Type locality: Huzurapur (Jessore District), Furreedpore and Dacca, Bangladesh. Named after Wilhelm Peters (1815-1883), German herpetologist.
