Mordechai Werdyger, generally known as Mordechai Ben David (lit. "Mordechai, the son of David") or MBD is a well known orthodox Jewish singer. His father David Werdyger) was a popular Jewish singer/cantor. He blends traditional Hasidic melodies with modern pop to form the songs that he puts out in albums and sings at concerts.

Mordechai's stage name is often abbreviated as MBD. Mordechai's son, Yeedle Werdyger, also entered into the Jewish music arena, though he is less popular than his father, who has been called "The King of Jewish Music." MBD has produced a record amount of Jewish albums, many of them hits. He lives in Seagate, NY. His father David Werdyger is from Cracow and is a Schindler Jew.
