Some may consider this page pointless because of its triviality, but

  1. Wikipedia is for the general public so even trivial points may need explanations
  2. An article on monomial form of a polynmial helps to distinguish between the polynomial and its form, So people have an easier time understanding for example the Lagrange form of the interpolation polynomial.
