Montwood High School is a four year (grades 9th–12th) High school located in east El Paso, Texas. The School was completed in 1990, just in time for the 1990 school year. The school was opened serving grades 7, ,8, 9, 10 and would gain a grade/lose a grade until the first graduating class of 1993. Montwood also has many academic programs such as Advanced Placement, Gifted and Talented, Dual Credit and Synergy. Montwood High is located on Montwood right off of Loop 375.

Montwood High School is a member of the Texas University Interscholastic League, or UIL. Currently, Montwood is in District 1-5A (5A is the largest classification of high schools in Texas.
