Monts Et Merveilles

Monts Et Merveilles (English translation: "Mountains and Miracles", idiomatically "The Moon And The Stars") was the French entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003, performed in French by Louisa Baïleche.
The song was performed nineteenth on the night (following Norway's Jostein Hasselgård with I'm Not Afraid To Move On and preceding Poland's Ich Troje with Keine Grenzen-Żadnych Granic). At the close of voting, it had received 19 points, placing 18th in a field of 26.
The song is a ballad, with Baïleche lamenting a relationship which has ended. She sings about the extravagant promises she and her lover both made and declares that "I never ceased loving you", as well as singing that she is now "homeless" following the breakup.
It was succeeded as French representative at the 2004 Contest by Jonatan Cerrada with À Chaque Pas.
