Montona (also in Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEC and the São Vicente Crioulo) is a valley and a settlement (but not recognized as a settlement) in the westcentral part of the island of São Vicente. The area are linked with several rural roads.

The valley are made up of rocks with soil colours being orange-like, tan and light brown. The mountain contains slopes and a few ledges. A small ribeira flows into the area and are Trees and grasslands are in the valley area

The area offers a panoramic view of most of the western and the central portions of the island and features the Mindelo area, Monte Cara and Monte Verde. The area can also see Santo Antão.
