Montijo (pron. IPA: [mõ'tiʒu]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 348.0 km² and a total population of 40,199 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 8 parishes, and is located in the district of Setúbal.
The present Mayor is Maria Amélia Macedo Antunes (Socialist) and the President of the Municipal Assembly is António Isidro Paracana (Socialist).
The municipal holiday is June 29.
