Montignac, Dordogne

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Montignac is a town and commune in the Dordogne département of France, situated on the Vezere River.

It has a beautiful old bridge, on which, every summer, the small festival is held, with fireworks.

A market is apparent every Sunday; it can get a bit crowded in the town.

Several stray dogs wander around, but the animals are very friendly.

It's main attraction is the Lascaux Cave, the oldest pre-historical cave in the world.
