Montemonaco is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ascoli Piceno in the Italian region Marche, located about 80 km south of Ancona and about 20 km northwest of Ascoli Piceno. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 660 and an area of 67.7 km².^[1]

The municipality of Montemonaco contains the frazione (subdivision) Foce.

Montemonaco borders the following municipalities: Arquata del Tronto, Castelsantangelo sul Nera, Comunanza, Montefortino, Montegallo, Norcia.
