The Monte Generoso (Calvagione) is located in the southern prealps, between the Lake Lugano and the Lake Como.

The Monte Generoso has a small road that reaches Bellavista from Mendrisio and Salorino, the Monte Generoso Railway that start from Capolago, than pass by Bellavista and reach nearly the top of the Monte Generoso.
