Montchavin is a village in the commune of Bellentre, Savoie, part of the La Plagne ski area. At 1250m in elevation, it is the lowest part of La Plagne and the Paradiski area. The nearest rail station to Montchavin is in Landry, 7 km down the hill. A larger town, Bourg St Maurice is 27 km from Montchavin. There are 3 chairlifts serving the village pf Montchavin. The neighbouring village to Montchavin is Les Coches, 100m higher up. Montchavin is by far more busy during the winter ski season, with many local chalets being let out to guests. Montchavin is home to one discotheque called l'Oxygène. This discotheque is located beneath the village's police station.
