Monou District, Miyagi

Monou (桃生郡; -gun) was a district located in Miyagi, Japan.

As of 2005, this district no longer exists, as Yamoto and Naruse towns merged to form Higashimatsushima City, and Kahoku, Kanan, Kitakami, Monou and Ogatsu towns merged with Oshika Town of Oshika district and Ishinomaki City to form a larger new Ishinomaki City.
