Mondavio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pesaro e Urbino in the Italian region Marche, located about 45 km west of Ancona and about 30 km south of Pesaro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,925 and an area of 29.5 km2.[1]

The municipality of Mondavio contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) S. Andrea di Suasa, S. Michele al Fiume, S. Filippo sul Cesano, and Cavallara.

Mondavio borders the following municipalities: Barchi, Corinaldo, Fratte Rosa, Monte Porzio, Montemaggiore al Metauro, Orciano di Pesaro, Piagge, San Giorgio di Pesaro, San Lorenzo in Campo.
