Moncton High School (MHS) is a high school in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada that was founded in 1935. It is housed in a unique building that has gone through many renovations through the years. The current student population is 1,321. MHS is considered a Canadian heritage property. At one point before it became a heritage property, the government proposed closing Moncton High, and constructing a new facility named MacNaughton High School that would rival the size and population of Fredericton High. Due to political pressure, however, the school was not closed. The school colours are purple and white, and the mascot is a "Purple Knight".
MHS is known for the quality of its student actors; in 2006, MHS partnered with six other Moncton schools to perform the musical Fame.
