Molesta

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Molesta is a Polish hip-hop group which formed in 1995. Molesta bandmembers include Włodi, Pelson, Vienio and Wilku (Pl:wolf). Their first release was a single track on an album produced by DJ Volt on SMAK B.E.A.T.Records in 1997.

Their next effort was Skandal (Pl:The Scandal) in 1998. Produced by DJ Volt, the album earned the band the title "the godfathers of new Polish rap". This album features the performers Sokol of the band WWO and Wilku, who joined to group with Pelson in 1999. This was followed by the album Ewenement, for which the band was renamed. Their most successful album, it became the largest selling hip hop album in Poland. In 2000, the group recorded Taka plyta (Pl:That album). This album was more characteristic of the band's style, in that there were no collaborations. Following this release, the individual group members released a series of solo works, including: -Vienio&Pele - Autentyk (2002) -Wlodi - ...Jak nowo narodzony (...Like newborn) (2003) -Vienio&Pele - Autentyk II (2003) -Vienio&Pele - Autentyk III (2005) -Wlodi - W.. (Pl:In...) (2005) -Pele - Sensi (2005) The band itself has not split due to any animosity.

Wilku has also worked with the group Hemp Gru with Bilon on their album Klucz (Pl:The Key) (2004).
