[edit] Trivia

  • The TV show makes a cameo appearance in episode 8 of the Tenchi Universe series, "No Need for a Genius". It is Mihoshi's favorite show.
  • Dr. Machinegal's cyborg agents were named after the following famous models or actresses: Elizabeth Taylor, Brooke Shields, Nastassja Kinski, and Vivien Leigh.
  • In a rather rare translation effort, in its time, most, if not all, of the names, as well as the intro and outro music, were kept virtually intact, to the stage where someone who knows the English words can sing them over the Japanese ones verbatim. Notably, this follows through in some of the grammar, since Kaoru's first name is used very little in the English dub.
  • The ending hints that possibly there would be a sequel, but it never came to be.
